"BUILDING LEADERS FOR TODAY AND TOMORROW"
New Jerusalem Academy
Our purpose is to be a tool of transformation and a means of grace in the life of all our students. With the favor and grace of God along with passionate, committed team of educators, we aim to develop a generation of Christian students who will be passionate about God and His Word and in turn become significant assets to our community in the midst of our society while achieving an academic education for a successful secular and/or spiritual career.
The purpose of Christian education is to assist parents in training their children to be Christ-like. This teaching and nurturing process begins in the home and continues throughout life. The Christian school, in addition to the home and the church, is a place where the process of Christian education takes place. The foundation of Christian education is the Word of God. From God's Word the philosophy of Christian education is developed. Its philosophy stands against the godless philosophies of humanism, materialism, and situation ethics.
New Jerusalem Academy is an educational ministry of the New Jerusalem Church. We request that our parents cooperate with us in the educational and Scriptural goals which we seek to achieve. NJA, then, acts in cooperation with the home and the church to produce Christ-likeness in its students; however, the ultimate responsibility for Christian education of their children remains with the parents.
The mission of New Jerusalem Academy is to Reach, Build and Treasure.
Treasure Christ and His Word in their lives as they develop in their environments by being leaders with firm convictions.
Build a solid academic and spiritual foundation with a highly qualified Christian curriculum.
Reach our students with the aim of putting their faith completely on Christ.
Learn about our core believes
We believe that the Bible is our supreme authority, and it is sufficient as our only rule of faith and practice. The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit and it is truth without any mixture of error. (I Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12; Revelation 22:19; Proverbs 30:5; Psalm 119:105, 160; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
We believe that God is the creator of all things, He created male and female, in His image and for His own glory. Man’s purpose in life is to bring glory to God by enjoying Him forever. Adam, the first man, sinned in his disobedience toward God thereby breaking fellowship with God, and through such disobedience sin extended to all mankind. We are all born sinners, spiritually dead and relationally separated from God. ( Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 3; Romans 3:9-2; 1 Corinthians 10:31; Romans 5:19-21)
We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, was crucified, buried, and rose bodily from the grave and will come again to this world to reign in righteousness. (Luke 1:30- 35; John 14:6; I Thessalonians 4:16-17)
We believe that God exists eternally and that He manifests Himself in three persons...God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; I Peter 2:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Psalm 90:2; Genesis 1:1, 26, 27, 3:22)
We believe that forgiveness of sin, salvation, and new life is made possible by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. This salvation is by grace, through faith, and by the appropriation of the shed blood of Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; John 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:2)
We believe there shall be a resurrection of the saved to eternal life and a resurrection of the unsaved to eternal punishment in hell. Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. (John 3:16; John 5:11-13; John 10:29; Romans 6:23)
We believe that a person is baptized by the Holy Spirit into the Body of Christ at the time of conversion; this baptism results in a believer being filled and supernaturally empowered for service through spiritual gifts. (I Corinthians 12:13; Romans 8:9-17; John 16:7-13; Ephesians 5:18; Galatians 5:25; John 14:16-17)
